"I strongly recommend reading about the philosophy of Ayn Rand - especially to Norwegians! (who seem to have never heard of her).
She advocate selfishness, egoism, laissez-faire capitalism, atheism and reason. Isn't that wonderful.
FYI, right now I'm reading the Norwegian version of her philosophical masterpiece (her own words) - "Atlas Shrugged" ("De som beveger verden"). So far this book is strongly recommended. This summer I read one of her other famous books - "The fountainhead" - and I must admit she's one of the most inspiring author I've read.
Today's common philosophy is all about altruism and socialism and shit. She - and I - believed that Man can be great, we believe in a Heroic Man - not a Man controlled by nature - but a man who controls nature. Not a man dependent on others, but a man only dependent of himself.
I feel this pictures kind of shows the potential of the Human Being. Taken outside the Norwegian Sport High School (Idrettshøyskolen)."
